Terms and Conditions

All 2017 Port Adelaide Football Club (Club) Memberships are subject to the following terms and conditions.

1. PURCHASE OF MEMBERSHIP

1.1 CONFIRMATION OF MEMBERSHIP

If you are successful in your Membership application, the Club will issue you a payment confirmation

electronically within 5 business days. Your membership card and fulfilment package will be issued within

30 business days from 17 November 2016. Members who join during the season will receive a

membership card (or match entry ticket) prior to the next home game.

1.2 ELIGIBILITY

Applications for 2017 membership will not be accepted if there is an outstanding balance from previous

seasons’ membership until any overdue amounts are settled in full.

The Club reserves its right not to accept any Membership application form in its absolute discretion.

1.3 MEMBER DETAILS

1.3.1 Each member must have their own individual member account and meet the classification criteria of

their membership as detailed below. The 2017 membership card and/or pack may be withheld until details

of each individual are provided or until the membership category is adjusted to satisfy the classification

criteria of that membership.

1.3.2 It is the responsibility of the member to notify the Club should their details change, including

withdrawal of concession status, member contact details, or any relevant information that could affect their

membership with the Port Adelaide Football Club.

2. TERM OF MEMBERSHIP

Subject to the following terms and conditions, your Club Membership will entitle you to the benefits of Club Membership from receipt of your Membership payment to 31 October 2017.

3. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

3.1 CLUB MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND ENTITLEMENTS

3.1.1 Reserved Seat Membership categories

Category Names

Reserved Seat members include the following categories that hold a reserved seat at the Adelaide Oval in

the Riverbank Stand, Eastern Stand or Northern Terrace: Club 1870, Black Diamond, Platinum A, Platinum

B, Gold A, Gold B, Silver A and Silver B.

Access Entitlements

Reserved seat members are guaranteed access into Adelaide Oval for all Port Adelaide home games

during the minor round.

Seat Return Program

The member seat return program enables a reserved seat member to forfeit their seat for any home game

that they will not attend in the 2017 season and allow their ticket to be sold through the ticket agent for

general admission members to upgrade into, or to the general public.

Once a seat is returned for re-sale it cannot be returned to the member under any circumstances.

The seat resale program excludes:

  •  Corporate memberships where paper tickets have been issued in place of a member card
  •  Cheer Squad seats in Bay 124, Rows A – D inclusive
  •  Complimentary memberships

In the event that a seat sells after being made available for resale, the member will be provided with a

credit towards their 2018 membership.

Credits from 2017 seat resale can only be applied to 2018 memberships, is not transferrable, and cannot

be redeemed for cash or other benefits. Credit will only apply if the account is in good financial standing

and there are no outstanding payments owing from previous years.

The value of each credit is determined by seat location and level of membership (Adult, Concession or

Junior).

AFL Weeks 1-3 Finals

All members with AFL match access are given priority access (over non-members and members without

AFL match access) to purchase a ticket to Weeks 1-3 of the AFL finals series, should Port Adelaide be a

competing club.

Neither the club nor its members have the same rights as they receive for minor round games – 2017

reserved seat members will be unable to retain their minor round reserved seat for the finals series.

AFL Grand Final

Only members in the following reserved seat categories are given the opportunity to purchase a

guaranteed AFL Grand Final ticket in the event that Port Adelaide is a competing club: Club 1870, Black

Diamond, Platinum A and Platinum B. Members in these categories must purchase during the Priority 1

window as communicated by the Club to retain their ‘guaranteed’ status.

Members in the Gold A and Gold B categories will have access to purchase any remaining tickets after

members with a guarantee have been allocated, but must purchase during the Priority 2 window as

communicated by the Club.

3.1.2 Essential Power Membership categories

Category Names

Essential Power members include the following categories that have access to the open choice areas the

Adelaide Oval in the Western Stand: Essential Club 1870, Essential Platinum and Essential Gold.

Access Entitlements

Additional fees and charges may apply to General Admission Memberships. Members’ access to matches

is not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and the Club recommends that Members reserve a seat in

order to guarantee entry, particularly at high demand matches. Access may be gained to designated,

unreserved seating on a first-come, first served basis subject to availability and Members can upgrade to a

reserved seat at the venue for an additional fee subject to availability. Ticket agencies may charge a

booking fee which is to be covered by the Member.

AFL Weeks 1-3 Finals

All members with AFL match access are given priority access (over non-members and members without

AFL match access) to purchase a ticket to Weeks 1-3 of the AFL finals series, should Port Adelaide be a

competing club.

AFL Grand Final

Only members in the following reserved seat categories are given the opportunity to purchase a

guaranteed AFL Grand Final ticket in the event that Port Adelaide is a competing club: Essential Club

1870, and Essential Platinum. Members in these categories must purchase during the Priority 1 window as

communicated by the Club to retain their ‘guaranteed’ status.

Members in the Essential Gold category will have access to purchase any remaining tickets after members

with a guarantee have been allocated, but must purchase during the Priority 2 window as communicated

by the Club.

3.1.3 General Admission Membership categories

Category Names

General Admission members include the following categories General Admission 11 + Waitlist, General

Admission 11, Country, 3-game, Victorian, Victorian 11 and Interstate.

Access Entitlements – Home Games

General Admission members receive access into the unreserved seating areas at the Adelaide Oval in the

upper-tiers of the Riverbank and Eastern Stands and Northern Terrace; or the standing areas on the Hill.

They receive the following entitlements to Adelaide Oval for Port Adelaide minor round home games in

2017:

  • General Admission 11 + waitlist 11 home games
  • General Admission 11 11 home games
  • Country 5 home games
  • 3-game 3 home games
  • Victorian 2 home games
  • Victorian 11 2 home games
  • Interstate 2 home games

Access Entitlements – Victorian Games

Victorian members receive access into all Power minor round away games at the MCG, Etihad Stadium or

Simonds Stadium during 2017 (subject to fixture and availability). Access to the MCG and Eithad Stadium

is in the general admission areas, while members must redeem a reserved seat ticket (subject to

availability) at no additional cost for matches at Simonds Stadium.

Victorian 11 members receive access into all Power minor round away games at the MCG, Etihad Stadium

or Simonds Stadium during 2017 (subject to fixture and availability), and the remainder of the 11 games at

the MCG (excluding ANZAC Day). Access to the MCG and Eithad Stadium is in the unreserved seating

areas in the AFL Members Reserve, while members must redeem a reserved seat ticket (subject to

availability) at no additional cost for matches at Simonds Stadium.

Additional fees and charges may apply to General Admission Memberships. Members’ access to matches

is not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and the Club recommends that Members reserve a seat in

3.1.4 Interstate Membership categories

Category Names

Interstate members include the following categories Interstate WA, Interstate NT, Interstate QLD, Interstate

NSW/ACT and Interstate TAS.

Access Entitlements

Interstate members receive general admission access into two (2) Port Adelaide minor round home games

at the Adelaide Oval (see General Admission – Access Entitlements).

Interstate members have access to a reserved seat ticket to one (1) game in their state of residence

(subject to fixture) but must nominate to attend the match. The Club will communicate information relating

to Members’ access to interstate games.

Tickets are limited to one (1) ticket per membership and are subject to availability. One (1) additional ticket

per membership may be purchased for a non-member at face value subject to availability (except for

games in Western Australia).

AFL Weeks 1-3 Finals

All members with AFL match access are given priority access (over non-members and members without

AFL match access) to purchase a ticket to Weeks 1-3 of the AFL finals series, should Port Adelaide be a

competing club.

3.1.5 Non Access Membership categories

Category Names

Non Access Memberships include the following categories Football Club (Power), Football Club (Magpies),

International, Digital, Junior Power, Junior Magpie and Baby.

AFL Weeks 1-3 Finals

Non access members do not receive any priority access to AFL Weeks 1-3 Finals tickets.

3.1.6 Magpies Access Membership categories

Category Names

Magpies Access Memberships include the following categories Home Game and Season Ticket.

Access Entitlements – Home Games

Magpies Access members are granted general admission access into the 9 Port Adelaide minor round

home games at Alberton Oval in 2017.

Members who have purchased grandstand access at an additional cost can access the unreserved areas

in the Williams or Quinn stands (whichever is listed on their membership card) at all minor round home

games.

Access Entitlements – Away Games

Magpies Season Ticket members are granted general admission access into the 9 Port Adelaide minor

round away games at SANFL suburban venues in addition to the Home Game access entitlements.

3.2 MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS AND CONCESSIONS

3.2.1 Family

There are two Family Membership options.

Family (2+2) includes two adults and up to 2 juniors (under the age of 15 as of 1 January 2017).

Family (2+4) includes two adults and up to 4 juniors (under the age of 15 as of 1 January 2017).

3.2.2 Baby (0-2)

To be eligible for a Baby Membership, the applicant must be under the age of 2 as at 1 January 2017.

Juniors aged under 4 at 1 January 2017 are entitled to attend matches without a Club Membership,

however they must not occupy a seat.

3.2.3 Pirateers (2-5)

To be eligible for a Pirateers Membership, the applicant must be aged between 2 and 5 as at 1 January

2017. Juniors aged under 4 at 1 January 2017 are entitled to attend matches without a Club Membership;

however they must not occupy a seat.

3.2.4 Junior (6-14)

To be eligible for a Junior Membership, the applicant must be under the age of 15 as at 1 January 2017.

3.2.5 Youth (15-17)

To be eligible for a Youth Membership, the applicant must be aged between 15 and 17 as at 1 January

2017.

3.2.6 Country

Club Members living in excess of 120km (as determined in accordance with Australia Post postcode data)

from the Adelaide CBD are eligible for Country Membership. When applying for or renewing a country

concession, you will need to supply a proof of residency (for example, a copy of your rates notice or a

utilities bill) to verify your address. PO Box addresses will not be accepted without supporting

documentation.

3.2.7 Concession – Student

Student concession is available to people studying full-time in 2017. Your Membership application/renewal

form must be accompanied by a copy of your 2017 student card or a photocopy of a stamped, receipted

2017 enrolment form from your education institution.

3.2.8 Concession – Pensioner

Pensioner concession is available to people holding a 2017 pensioner concession card issued by

Centrelink, the Department of Health and Community Services, the Department of Community Services or

the Department of Veteran Affairs. A Heath Care or Health Benefit card will not be accepted. Your

Membership application/renewal form must be accompanied by a photocopy of your pension card. Pension

cards must be valid for the duration of the 2017 football season.

3.2.9 Port Club Membership

All Adult and Concession memberships for members aged 18 or over include membership to the Port

Adelaide Football and Community Club Ltd, trading as the ‘Port Club’ which entitles the member to

discount on food purchases.

3.3 TOYOTA AFL FINALS SERIES ENTITLEMENTS

Each Member’s access to the Toyota AFL Finals Series matches will be determined in accordance with

their respective membership category and corresponding entitlements. Please refer to the terms of your

particular membership for further detail.

The Club will communicate information relating to Members’ access to Toyota AFL Finals Series matches

in late August should the Club be participating in the Toyota AFL Finals Series.

4. TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP CARDS

Club Members may transfer their membership (or tickets) to a family member of friend providing that family

member of friend is at the equivalent level of entry.

Concession and Junior Members who transfer their membership card or tickets to an adult will be refused

entry and will have their ticket confiscated at the gates.

The ticket will not be returned to the Member and a replacement fee of $10 will apply for the issue of a new

Membership card.

5. NO ONSELLING

Club Membership cards and Club Reserve tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the Club, be

onsold (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes

(including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services,

either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer.

If a ticket is onsold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the

bearer of the ticket may be refused admission. Penalties apply (including cancellation of any offending

member’s Club Membership without a refund).

6. AFL MEMBER UPGRADES

AFL Members may nominate a club of support and by doing so consent to the AFL providing their personal

details to that club, so they may contact you, for example in relation to membership pack fulfilment and

finals access. AFL Members who have nominated a club of support may purchase a club reserved seat

membership upgrade.

7. PAYMENT

Payment of your Club Membership fee may be made in one of two ways:

7.1 FULL PAYMENT: Your full Membership fee can be paid via any one of the following methods: VISA,

MasterCard, BPay, Cheque, Cash or EFTPOS.

7.2 PAYMENT PLAN:

Your Membership payments via a payment plan as follows:

7.2.1 Easy Pay payments will be deducted in a single instalment or 3, 6 or 10 equal instalments on the

17th of each month, beginning on 17 November 2016 via a nominated VISA or MasterCard only.

7.2.2 By signing with the Easy Pay option, you authorise the Club to arrange a debit of funds from your

nominated credit card in amounts and at intervals as advised.

7.2.3 All members on the Easy Pay option are automatically included into an Auto Renewal Agreement,

facilitating automatic rollover of your memberships from year to year.

7.2.4 Members can only opt out of the Easy Pay option at the conclusion of their last instalment and the

first instalment for the following season by notifying the Club either in writing or via email at

membership@pafc.com.au. All outstanding payments must be complete at time of opting out.

7.2.5 Members will be given at least 14 days’ notice in writing of changes in the new amount of their next

season's membership and to the terms of the Easy Pay agreement.

7.2.6 The first instalment will be withdrawn on 17 November 2016, with further payments on the 17 th of

each following month. If any payment fails to transfer between institutions on the 17th further attempts will

be made to attempt to clear the fund transfer.

7.2.7 Members will be sent a reminder SMS prior to each instalment.

7.2.8 Members applying for the Easy Pay option after the first scheduled payment will have the number of

required payments deducted to bring them up to date with the schedule and then subsequent payments at

each specified date.

7.2.9 If your debit is returned or dishonoured by your financial institution, a letter will be sent requesting

immediate payment. Any fees levied to you by your financial institution will be payable to you.

7.2.10 The Club may suspend or cancel your membership if, on two consecutive occasions, your drawing

is dishonoured by your financial institution. Please note that at least 24 hours will be needed to reinstate

your membership once payment is received.

7.2.11 Port Adelaide Football Club will not issue any reminder notices or invoices for part payments. It is

your responsibility to ensure that: (a) the account details you have provided are correct, including

notification should the expiry date change within the 10 month program; (b) you have sufficient clear funds

available in the nominated account on the scheduled drawing date.

7.2.12 If your Membership is suspended or cancelled, you will not be able to gain access to any matches

during the Premiership Season or the Toyota AFL Finals Series.

7.2.13 If you believe that a withdrawal has been initiated incorrectly, please contact the Club Membership

Support Team on 1300467232. You will receive a full refund of the withdrawal amount if we cannot

substantiate the reason for drawing.

8. GST AND LEVIES

Except where expressly noted, all prices include GST and any applicable venue levy.

9. REFUND POLICY

As a general policy, Club Memberships are non-refundable. Once a membership has been purchased,

Port Adelaide Football Club is under no obligation to provide a cancellation, refund or downgrade option.

Such requests may be made in writing and are at the sole discretion of the Club’s Membership Manager.

10. CANCELLATION POLICY

The Club reserves its right to cancel a member’s Club Membership without a refund where that member is

deemed by the Club to have breached these terms and conditions (including where that member attempts

to transfer or sell their Club Membership and/or associated benefits or fails to adhere to the Member and

Supporter Code of Conduct).

11. CLUB MEMBER AND SUPPORTER CODE OF CONDUCT

The Port Adelaide Football Club is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and exciting game day

experience for all its members and supporters.

The Port Adelaide Football Club works with the Australian Football League, Adelaide Oval Stadium

Management Authority, contracted security services and other external agencies when identifying

offenders, recording incidents and sanctioning any potential action taken against offenders who threaten to

disrupt, dis-respect or otherwise act against the Club’s Game day Code of Conduct.

The Port Adelaide Football Club is a family club and we expect all members and supporters of the club to

behave in a manner as you would expect others to behave towards you and your family and fellows.

The Club reserves the right to revoke Memberships or casual game day tickets should any offence be

committed and should a situation warranting a ban arise. No compensation will be provided and all

penalties are at the discretion of the Club. Members who provide their membership card to family or friends

are responsible for their behavior on game day and their actions can result in membership being

suspended.

The below Code of Conduct applies to all Members of the Port Adelaide Football Club at home and away

games, Official Club or League functions and other non-football situations or events endorsed or supported

by the Club.

Port Adelaide Football Club Members and supporters have a right to expect an environment where:

  • Players, officials and staff will respect and appreciate each and every member and supporter.
  • They will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all stadium and club personnel.
  • They will enjoy the game day experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive

language or obscene gestures.

In return, Port Adelaide Football Club Members and supporters will uphold the following requirements and values including:

  • Consuming alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner and expecting intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest to be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • Not engaging in anti-social behavior such as fighting, spitting, throwing objects or projectiles or attempting to enter the playing arena. Those who engage in any of these actions will be immediately ejected from the stadium.
  • Not provoking or deliberately enticing others.
  • Interacting with opposing supporters in a positive manner and not abusing them in any way. The Port Adelaide Football Club, its Members and supporters expect one another to:
  • Work together with the Club to apply and uphold the Code of Conduct.
  • Desist from displaying obscene and/or indecent messages on banners, signs, clothing or other observable materials.
  • Comply with requests from Stadium staff regarding Stadium operations and emergency response procedures.
  • Sit in their allocated ticketed seats and show their tickets and entitlements when requested.

The Port Adelaide Football Club appreciates your support of the Code of Conduct and we look forward to

providing an exciting match day environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

12. VARIATION TO CLUB MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Club may from time to time where reasonably necessary vary the terms and conditions of Club

Membership. The Club will communicate any change to its membership terms and conditions via the Club

website or email. Members will have no claim against the Club by reason of any change made to the terms

and conditions of Club Membership.

13. GENERAL STADIUM RULES

Club Members must adhere to all rules and restrictions imposed by the venues attended by the Club

Member. All venues are smoke-free. Patrons are not permitted to bring alcohol into any venue and must

adhere to strict restrictions placed on alcohol consumption in designated areas at all venues. Umbrellas

are not permitted to be opened anywhere within viewing areas at any time on match day.

14. LOST OR STOLEN MEMBERSHIPS CARDS

Membership cards remain the property of the Club. If a Club Membership card is lost or stolen, please

contact the Club’s Member Services on 1300467232 and the Club will then issue a replacement

Membership card subject to receipt of the replacement card fee of $10. The card will be replaced at no

cost upon provision if a police report or statutory declaration detailing the theft.

15. VOTING RIGHTS

Club Members as at the end of each season will be invited to the Annual General Meeting of the Port Adelaide Football Club.

Every Club Member shall be bound to further to the best of his or her ability the objects of the Club and the interests and standing of the Club and shall observe and be bound by any rules of the Club in force for the

time being.

All Club Members have a right to vote in relation to the election of Club nominees for appointment by the AFL to the Board.

Club Members (other than Club Directors) will have no right to vote in connection with any other resolution

put to that meeting or to participate in any discussion relating to any other business at the Annual General

Meeting of the Company.

16. MEMBERS’ PRIVACY

All personal information will be used, and may be disclosed, by the Club (including for promotional and

marketing purposes) in accordance with the AFL and AFL Club Privacy Policy available at

www.afl.com.au/privacy. By providing your personal information you agree to such use and disclosure by

the Club and confirm you have read and agree to be bound by the AFL and AFL Club Privacy Policy.

17. TELEPHONE AND INTERNET RENEWALS

Members may renew their Club Membership over the telephone or online. By renewing over the telephone

or online, you accept these terms and conditions of Club Membership (as amended by from time to time by

the Club).
